This was an educational page turner. It gave me a lot of insight in the coal industry, the techniques and the consequences for the miners and the environment. I liked the ‘cowboy lawyers’ as opposed to the lawyers of the big firms, black suits, clean shaven but not really clean hands. Though there were things in the book that went too fast (the end f.e. way too fast, why was Samantha’s conversation with her parents so important?) and missed depth (Samantha f.e. was not in every situation very detailed), it was a great read. And this is the industry Trump wants to revive: it’s devastating for humans, miners and the families living there, the scenery and the environment. Unbelievable.

Dat schreef ik op Goodreads en ik zag een ‘link’ om te kopiĆ«ren en in je blog te plakken. Dan gebeurt er dit. Zo is bloggen dan weer een fluitje van een cent, als je je eigen materiaal kunt recyclen. Hoe dan ook: dit is een meer dan lezenswaardig boek.
