Minisokjes van Opal PirouetteTja, dan is het paar ‘grote sokken’ klaar en hou je ontzettend veel wol over. Niet genoeg voor nog een paar ‘grote sokken’, maar toch veel… gelukkig heeft zij net gezinsuitbreiding gehad. Van de ene dag op de andere werd ze moeder van Rikki. Rikki is om op te eten. Maar je zal maar in één klap een hele garderobe moeten hebben. Dus: mijn eerste paar minisokjes ooit is voor haar. Ook al omdat ik het zonder haar nooit zou hebben geleerd. Zij haalde me over om naar SnB te gaan. De sokjes zijn gemaakt van Opal Petticoat (dat ik voortdurend Pirouette noem) en ik hoop dat ze nog niet te klein zijn als ze in Zuid-Afrika aankomen.

Minisokjes voor RikkiYes, the ‘big socks’ are ready and there’s a lot of yarn left. Not enough for another pair of ‘big socks’, but still… Fortunately she just had addition to the family. From one day to the next she became Rikki’s mother. Rikki is lovely, but imagine you’ll need a whole child wardrobe at one go! So, my first pair of minisocks ever is for her! Because without her I would never have learned it. She persuaded me to go to Stitch ’n Bitch.
I made the socks from Opal Petticoat (Pirouette as I persist) and I hope Rikki will not have outgrown them when they arrive in South Africa.
