She makes beautiful things and besides, I like to get a glimpse of ordinary life in Norway. Kate and I don&#8217;t know each other except for our blogs and knitting work. She surprised me. Because of the birthday of Kate&#8217;s blog I was one of the regular visitors who got a present. And look, what I got! Wonderfully soft Norwegian yarn, <a title=\"Bris\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gjestal.no\/index.cfm?tmpl=butikk&amp;a=product_inline&amp;b_id=430021&amp;b_kid=191271\" target=\"_blank\">Bris<\/a>, 50% wool and 50% soya in this really terrific colour. I&#8217;m considering <a title=\"Ysolda's Gretel\" href=\"http:\/\/ysolda.com\/store\/hats\/gretel\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gretel.<\/a><br \/>\n<a title=\"Vlindersok\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/yvonnep\/3196808974\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"articleimg\" title=\"Vlindersok\" src=\"https:\/\/www.philippa.nl\/yvonnep\/wp-images\/vlindersok.jpg\" alt=\"Vlindersok\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nIn the meantime:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>School has begun<\/li>\n<li>I&#8217;m going to ballet again each week<\/li>\n<li>Fluids in my knee have been removed (bit ouch&#8230;)<\/li>\n<li>I started the Luchtige Vlindersok (breezy butterfly sock) from the Dutch sock club <a title=\"Sokketiers van Wolhalla\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/groups\/sokketiers\" target=\"_blank\">Sokketiers<\/a><\/li>\n<li>I made the resolution to ramble regularly in 2009 this Saturday I&#8217;ll go to <a title=\"NS Wandeling Holterberg\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ns.nl\/cs\/Satellite\/ns2007\/nl\/wandeltocht\/include\/1181052418727\/holterberg?packedargs=FilterOn%3Dyes%26StartAtRec%3D1%26language%3Dnl%26provincie%3DOverijsel%26tochtID%3D1197981090859%26tochtsoort%3D2\" target=\"_blank\">Holten<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Not a bad start of the year at all&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Oh, and I put this <a title=\"Stylink over Breien\" href=\"http:\/\/www.stylink.nl\/Breien.html\" target=\"_blank\">link <\/a>here to not forget it&#8230; such a beautiful page&#8230; (sorry, only in Dutch)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some weblogs are a joy to visit.
