This is Suzy Q as knitwork and on Ravelry. The pink circulars were a present from Keimpe and though not very flexible they came in handy for this. But who is Suzy?
This is Suzy Q as shapeless bag. ‘Cause Suzy is a bag. A felted bag. Recently I have become very selfconscious about sewing my knitwork, so I used very reliable instructions I got from Wil’.
This is the page from Wil’s book, with all kind of interesting knowledge about sewing with (!) examples. It didn’t help, and I was hoping all along that it would disappear during felting. You will see more of Wil’s book in the future.
This is Suzy Q felted. Well, this sure is felted. It shrunk more than half. You don’t see the sewing, so that’s a pro. Suzy Q can stand on her own. Not much of a bag, but more a bowl with grips. Very handy and very sturdy for storing loose things that are on my desk.
Now you know what I did today… I experimented with felting. And I think the experiment stops here. Felting is just not really my cup of tea and I prefer bags from the Bijenkorf.

Freek is super goed. Nou ja. Kijk… zondag a.s.: de finale. Ik zit met telefoon in de aanslag klaar. En hoewel ik niet echt een musical fan ben (geef mij maar opera) wil ik straks Joseph wel zien. Tja, zo gaat dat…
On Dutch television there is a contest to find the principal actor/singer for the Dutch version of the musical Joseph. My favorite was Robin, who was send away this evening. Alas. Next Sunday we have the final. Will it be Freek? Will it be John? Roy is not a serious option, to my opinion. We’ll see.

It’s finished and I love it!

Today I got my final SP12 package and it made me very silent, which is a great exception. My SP is called Eva and lives in Germany. That’s the part I guessed. She has a blog and on Ravelry she calls herself Lakeside. And she knitted me the Woodland shawl from Nikol Lohr in a beautiful ‘berry colour’ (her own words). I love, love, love it! I think it is so very special that someone knitted something for me. I appreciate it more than I can show. And in my enthousiasm I forgot to mention the blue bracelet that matched with my blue cardigan from today (and will match with my Hey, Teach), the small bookmark calender with Paris pictures and the ‘Trüffel-pralinés’ that are already gone. Thank you very, very much Eva, you have been a wonderful secret pal, very thoughtful and you send me lovely and well chosen things. I hope you have been spoiled like you spoiled me.

I thought it was an exotic thing: taking the train from Amsterdam CS to Moskwa. And I loved the combination on the information panel: the small Dutch village and the Russian capital. It’s a nice game, coming home from work pretending going there, listening to the announcements in the station, acting disappointed that a reservation is necessary. But, guess what… this train leaves every day on the same time and is not even very expensive. It’s called the City Night Line/Euro Night and it brings you in two nights in Moskwa. If I leave tomorrow 19.03 I will arrive 04.10.08, 10:26 in Moskva Belorusskaja. That’s serious knitting time…
