2007 is dus het jaar van het hart(je). Nee, geen nieuw teken in de Chinese dierenriem. Het is een gezamenlijke actie van dames die elkaar wel of niet via het internet kennen. Bij haar vind je alle informatie. Het is leuk om zoveel mogelijk technieken te gebruiken.
Ik start deze maand daarom met het maken van de twee kaarten die ik vorig jaar (voor veel te veel geld) bij Marie Claire Idées heb besteld. Het zijn ontwerpen van Cathérine Henry en ik denk dat je betaalt voor haar knipwerk. Het plakwerk deed ik zelf. Ze komen nu mooi van pas, want ik denk dat ik ze voor die prijs nooit durf te versturen. Op naar het volgende hartjesproject. 

So 2007 is the year of the heart. No, not a new sign in the Chinese zodiac. It’s a joint activity of women who know each other from the internet or irl. She has all the information. It’s is nice to use a lot of techniques.
Therefore I start this month with two cards I ordered last year (for far too much money) at Marie Claire Idées. The design is by Cathérine Henry and I think you pay for her cutting work. The glueing I did myself :-).

They come in useful now, ’cause I think I never dare to send them away because of their price.  And now, the next hearty project.

Het is weer begonnen: de Europese kampioenschappen kunstrijden. Dit keer in Warschau. Eerst het ijsdansen paardansen. Ben benieuwd of heel Nederland ook voor het scherm zit, nu hij van Joling er niet bij is. Gaan Albena Denkova en Maxim Staviski uit Bulgarije het paardansen winnen? Nee, want het zijn ijsdansers. Ik zit aan Eurosport gekluisterd en daardoor kon ik in elk geval mijn log verbeteren.

It started again: the World Championship Figure Skating. This time in Warsaw. First ice pairdancing. Will Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski from Bulgary winn? Not pairdancing, may be ice dancing. I’m glued to Eurosport and that’s why I could improve this log. 

Af en toe vind ik het heerlijk om te netzwerven. Ik zie dit, of dat, reageer eens hier en daar. En ik vond me toch iets leuks: maak in januari en februari een paar dingen voor jezelf. Ik werd op slag enthousiast en schreef me in. Alleen… vind het daarna maar eens terug. Kansloos! Dus nu maar hier.
De sokken voor schoonmama zijn op de post. De sjaal is klaar (andere keer meer). Nu ik! De handschoenloze vingertjes vragen om vingerloze handschoentjes. Uit ‘Not just socks’ van het eerste garen van mijn SP9. Eén af. ‘Juta’s Stockings’ is mijn tweede verlangen dat vorm moet krijgen. Een prachtig ajoursokje uit ‘Folk knitting in Estonia’ van Nancy Bush. Alles ligt klaar. Het derde plan voor de egostart in 2007 is de Bejeweled sjaal. En ondertussen denk ik aan hartjes en hartjes.

Sometimes I love roaming the internet. I see this, or that, make some reactions. That way I found something great: make things for yourself in january and february. What a good idea! I subscribed. But… I don’t remember where I found it! Therefore: here are my plans. The socks for MIL have been sent. The scarf is finished (later more). 
Now it’s my turn! The gloveless fingers want fingerless gloves. From ‘Not just socks’ I make them from the first yarn my SP9 gave me. One finished. Next desire: ‘Juta’s Stockings’, a beautiful sock with a small lace pattern from ‘Folk knitting in Estonia’ by Nancy Bush. Just cast on and knitting. Third project in my egostart 2007 is the Bejeweled scarf. And in the meantime I’ll think about little hearts and little hearts.

 Gisteren was de ABC-meeting. Wat begon als een leuk idee, is toch maar uitgegroeid tot iets waar velen aan meededen en nog aan meedoen. En het heeft fantastisch mooie werkstukken opgeleverd. Ik was erg onder de indruk van het werk van Jeanny en van Majo. De een zo precies, de ander werkt met zo’n fraaie techniek. Het nieuwe thema is harten en staat open voor iedereen die iets kan maken op wat voor manier dan ook. Dus kom op! Meld je aan…

The ABC-meeting was yesterday. It began with a nice idea and now it’s something in which a lot of women participate. There were a lot of beautiful, beautiful pieces of work. I was very impressed by Jeanny’s work and Majo’s (no blog). One so meticulous, the other using a fine technique. The new theme is hearts and it’s open for anybody who can make something with her (or his?) hands. So come on! Subscribe…
